British MPs should refrain from practising vote bank politics by misrepresenting events! – India warns Britain’s High Commissioner!

Discussion about Indian farm laws in British Parliament

  • Should the Indian Parliament discuss about British incidents, especially about racial hatred?
  • Although the British were driven out of India, a strong urge to wield control over India is still evident in the British. India should respond in a language that the British understand!

New Delhi – India has reacted strongly to discussions by British MPs on the three farm laws passed last year. India summoned the British High Commissioner and conveyed its displeasure in no uncertain terms. ’Discussions regarding Indian agricultural policies in British Parliament amount to interference in the political affairs of another democratic country’.

Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has advised the British High Commissioner that ‘British MPs should refrain from practising vote bank politics by misrepresenting events. Instead of a balanced debate and with a proper understanding of the ground reality, the discussion was held in an inappropriate manner.’ The Indian High Commission in London has opposed the one-sided discussion. The discussion was initiated by a group of MPs in Britain.
