Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) – A 75 year old priest, Sakhi Baba was stabbed to death in a temple in Mohjuddinagar, Dhakangala here. The prime suspect Ramvir Yadav is absconding. Three police teams are searching for him. The motive for this murder is not clear.

  1. Sakhi Baba was residing in a hut near the temple. On 6th February, Ramvir Yadav met him. It is gathered that in an ensuing dispute, Ramvir stabbed the priest and ran away. The villagers tried to capture him, but he managed to escape.
  2.  This incident is reminiscent of an earlier crime that occurred on the 20th of January in Shivpur, close to the state capital Lakshmanpuri. Fakir Das, an 85 year-old priest of a Shiva temple was stabbed with a sharp weapon. He later succumbed to his injuries. It was determined that theft was not the motive behind this heinous crime.
