New Delhi – Farmers agitating on Delhi border have planned a tractor rally on 26th January, Republic Day. The Delhi police have claimed to have traced 308 Twitter handles that are functioning to disrupt this rally. The police informed that after the Republic Day parade is over the tractor rally will be conducted amid tight security.
Delhi’s Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence), Deependra Pathak said, “Over 300 Twitter handles have been generated in Pakistan between January 13 & 18, to mislead people and disrupt the farmer’s tractor rally. The handles are consistently pushing hashtags to disrupt the farmer’s protest. There is a threat perception that Pakistan-based terrorist groups can create some trouble. Mischievous elements can create a law and order situation.”
