Religious procession of Hindus, passing through a Muslim dominated area in UP, attacked with sharp weapons

• Attack on sacred Hindu processions by religious fanatics is not expected when BJP is in power in UP. The Government should create fear on religious fanatics and should try for the strict punishment against those who are responsible for this attack.
• Realise that so-called progressives and secularists would neither ever preach secularism to such attackers nor answer any question behind such attacks on Hindus’ religious processions in Muslim dominated areas !

Ambedkarnagar (UP) – Religious fanatics pelted stones at the  Hindus’ religious procession which was passing through Muslim dominated Pahitipur Bazar of Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on 15^th November. The procession was for immersion of Shri Ganesh and Shri Lakshmi Idols. Religious fanatics started pelting stones from the roofs of their homes on the passing mob for playing music in front of the mosque. The Hindus were also attacked with the sticks and sharp weapons. This led to 2 Hindus getting severely injured while 10 to 12 Hindus were slightly injured. The Police have arrested 11 individuals and offence was filed against Juber, Sheru, Shahjade, Shadan Khan, Fahim, Shabbar, Jishan Khan and 8 others. Additional forces have been deployed in the area to prevent any further fallout.
