‘As a child, I used to listen to stories from Ramayan and Mahabharat’ – Former US President Barack Obama

  • How many Hindus in India narrate stories of Ramayan and Mahabharat to their children or inculcate sanskars accordingly ?
  • Hindu Dharma will spread all over the world in the coming times and the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ will be established. The statement of Obama is indicative of this.

Washington (USA) – As a child, when I was in Indonesia, I used to listen to stories from the Hindu epics Ramayan and Mahabharat; as a result, I have always had a special place in my mind about India, said former US President Barack Obama in his autobiography ‘A Promised Land’. This book is yet to be published. A few days ago, it was revealed that he had made a statement about Rahul Gandhi in this book. Obama visited India in 2010 when he was President. He had never been to India before.

Obama says in the book –

1. It may be that the size of India is such that it attracts, where one-sixth of the world’s population lives, Where people of 2,000 different castes and religions live and where more than 700 languages are spoken.

2. There may be a reason behind my interest in India, that I may have an interest in eastern religions.
