Porbandar (Gujarat) – 700 kg of narcotic drugs have been seized from the Porbandar coast of Gujarat. A team from the Narcotics Control Department received information about an Iranian boat smuggling narcotics into the country. Based on this information, the team, acting in collaboration with the Indian Navy and the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Gujarat, intercepted the boat in the middle of the sea and seized an estimated 700 kg of narcotics. The total value of these items is likely to run into crores of rupees.
It is not yet clear how many people were arrested in this case. Official sources say that the complete picture will be clear only after checking the narcotics and other evidence in the yacht.
