Earlier we had published news of a Chrisitan burial ground made illegally just opposite Nellai Sri Manimurtiswarar Temple. Here is the update and the condemnation report of Mr. Arjun Sampath of Hindu Makkal Katchi.
Will the Collector stand up to greet a delegation of Hindu organisations ? It would not be surprising if the administrative officers give a red carpet welcome to fanatical Christians. To change this situation, there is no other option to building effective Hindu unity.
Nellai (Tamil Nadu) – Nellai District Collector Mrs. Shilpa stood up politely to welcome Christian priests and nuns who had come to submit a representation to her.
Some months ago, an incident came to light that Christians were erecting a cemetery in front of Arulmigu Manimurti-swarar Temple in Nellai. The place belongs to the Temple. Two Christian organisations illegally occupied that place. While one organisation did not start any work, the other has begun burying the bodies of the dead Christians over the past few weeks.
All parties (except the BJP) have come forward to complain to the Nellai District Collector that the graves where the bodies were buried have been damaged despite strong opposition.
How did she meet them without social distancing or wearing a mask ? How can the District Collector, who is supposed to enforce orders of the Central and State Governments, violate it ? Maybe this privilege is enjoyed by her because the District Collector is also a Christian ? (At other times, people have noticed that the Collector never stands up to receive common people or any administrative officer. However, if this rule is infringed upon while meeting a delegation of Christians, such questions are bound to be raised. – Editor)
