Lockdown is over, but the threat of Corona is still haunting us ! – PM Narendra Modi

PM Modi’s Speech viz. Rashtra ke naam !

Countrymen, no room to become complacent. We should be responsible collectively ! Protocols need to be followed strictly !

In his almost 16-minute long address to the nation, PM Narendra Modi said, “We have gone through a long journey combatting the Corona pandemic ! In the season of festivals, life has come back to track gradually. Nevertheless, virus has not gone. We have a good recovery rate. For every 10 lakh citizens, 5,500 people are suffering from COVID-19. We have higher recovery rate when compared with the western world. Fatality rate is also as low as 83 for a population of 1 million as compared to that of around 600 of the US and Brazil.”

PM further said, “We have made an arrangement of more than 90 lac beds to combat the deadly virus. 2 thousand labs are working on coronavirus. Testing will exceed the figure of 10 crore shortly. 12,000 quarantine centres are operational countrywide.”

He further reiterated that, with the principle of “Seva Parmo Dharma”, innumerable doctors, nurses, policemen and people have been providing their selfless service for months together. So, we shouldn’t become irresponsible and careless at any cost. If we are moving out without masks, we are bringing health of older people and kids into trouble. As per saint Kabir, we shouldn’t be irresponsible until success is achieved in totality.

Giving an idea of the long awaited corona vaccine, Modi stated that, “We are striving to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Our doctors and scientists are working on the same. Government is on its foot to roll out the vaccination program and will see that it reaches the doorstep of every Indian citizen.”

PM Modi categorically pointed out, “As per Ramcharitmanas, one shouldn’t underestimate enemy, pandemic etc. in one’s life. Even an iota of irresponsibility can shatter our happiness. I request mediapersons, social media netizens to awaken crores of citizens.”

On the closing note, “I convey my greetings for Navaratri, Gurunanak Jayanti and other festivals coming…!”
