To avoid dangerous circumstances, the victim was cremated at mid-night with the permission and in the presence of her family members ! – U.P. Government

Uttar Pradesh Government justified the cremation of the victim saying, ‘as the cremation in the morning could have invited huge rush, her parents were explained to cremate the body at night. As per the information received from the intelligence agencies, there was a possibility of gathering of lakhs of protesters. Also there was a possibility of racial politics in the matter. Thus to avoid these dangers the decision had to be taken to cremate the victim’s body at night. The cremation was carried out with the permission and in the presence of her family members.’
