A condition for the sanctioning bail to a man molesting a woman

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) – The accused should go to the house of the woman he harassed, request her to tie the Rakhi, and promise her protection for life. This was the precondition imposed by the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court before granting the bail to the accused.

In April this year, Vikram Bagari barged into the house of a woman and molested her. Later, when the woman complained, he applied for bail to the court. In the order granting bail to him, the court said, ‘He and his wife should go to her house, request the tormented woman to accept him as a brother and tie a sacred thread. Besides, after tying the sacred thread, he should pay her Rs.11,000.’
