The Teachings of Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj

Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj (Sanatan Sanstha’s seat of faith)

Guru’s perspective on Guru-disciple relationship

Teaching : I am nobody’s Guru, but I will not stop until I make disciples.

Explanation 1 : In ‘I am nobody’s Guru’, ‘I’ is in reference to the Prakruti; ‘I will not stop until I make disciples’ means I will not stop until I make you a disciple of the Purusha-tattva (God Principle), of H.H. Anantanand Saish (Baba’s Guru). Else, I will initiate chanting in such a manner that all become disciples of the ‘Name’ (of God).

Explanation 2 : Guru is Shiv. In Shivdasha, meaning, in the state of universal consciousness, no thoughts can come to the mind. This is why the thought ‘I am the Guru’ cannot come to the mind. In Jivadasha, meaning, the level or state of individual consciousness, ‘I am a disciple’ is the only thought that comes to mind. Hence, ‘I will take seekers to my Guru and make them His disciples.’
