Bengal opposition leader and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari’s warning !
Kolkata – Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday said that a protest would be staged at the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s Petrapole if attacks on minority Hindus in the neighbouring country continue unabated. Recently, Hifajat-e-Islam, an Islamic organization based in Chittagong, Bangladesh, called for the ban on ISKCON. The officer gave the above warning.
Speaking to reporters, Adhikari, the leader of opposition in West Bengal Assembly, expressed concern over reported attacks on Hindus in various parts of Bangladesh, stressing the urgency for ensuring minority safety. “The attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh will have a reaction as per Newton’s third law of motion that says ‘every action has an equal and opposite reaction’,” he warned. (Based on this statement of Adhikari, If an Indian Hindu challenged that ‘an attack on a Hindu in Bangladesh will lead to an attack on 10 Bangladeshi infiltrators’, would it be considered inappropriate ? – Editor)
‘If the attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus do not stop, we will protest along the border.’ – Opposition leader of West Bengal and BJP MLA @SuvenduWB
👉 It is unfortunate that although the BJP Government is at the Center, such stance is taken by local BJP leaders.

“Bangladesh must realise that it has a duty to protect its minorities and respect their rights. We want to caution the Md Yunus government in Bangladesh that if the attacks on Hindus don’t stop, we will stage a protest at the Petrapole border,” Adhikari said, emphasising that India cannot ignore the plight of Bangladeshi Hindus given the cultural and historical ties shared by the two nations.
Editorial PerspectiveWhy such a warning has to be issued when there is a BJP Government at the Centre ? Hindus think that the Government should put pressure on Bangladesh and stop these attacks and protect Hindus. |
