Andhra Pradesh: Miscreant lights cigarette from the sacred lamp placed before the Shivalinga !

Attempt to insult Hindu religious sentiments !

Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) – A shocking incident of indecent behaviour by a miscreant at a temple, a centre of devotion and faith, has come to light in Adoni in Kurnool district. A miscreant lit a cigarette using the sacred lamp kept before the Shivalinga in the Shiva temple near the famous Santana Anjaneya Swamy Temple, thereby hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

1. A man named Vadde Eeranna entered the Shiva temple and lit a cigarette using the sacred lamp placed before the sanctum sanctorum. He then behaved indecently within the temple premises. His friends recorded the entire incident on a mobile phone and circulated the video on social media.

2. As soon as the incident came to light, local Hindu organisations staged protests and expressed strong outrage. They demanded strict legal action against Eeranna and his accomplices for desecrating the sanctity of the temple.

3. A complaint has been lodged against the accused; however, locals have alleged that the Police have not yet taken any official action.

Had Hindus been given education on Dharma from childhood, such anti-social elements would not have emerged within Hindu society ! Incidents like these underscore the importance of imparting spiritual knowledge and encouraging spiritual practice among Hindus !
