Trump remains firm on the condition of handing over uranium reserves to the US

Washington (USA) – US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s new proposal to stop the war. ‘I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘representatives’. I don’t like it – totally unacceptable !’, he said while rejecting the proposal. According to Iranian State media, Iran sent a new proposal to the US through Pakistan on May 10th. The proposal included ending the war, ensuring maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, lifting sanctions and discussing the nuclear programme.
The US sent a 14-point proposal to Iran last week
The United States sent Iran a 14-point proposal last week. According to it, Iran will have to stop uranium enrichment for at least 12 years and hand over 60 percent of its enriched uranium to the United States. In return, the United States will ease sanctions, release billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets, and lift a blockade on Iranian ports. Iran has refused to compromise on its nuclear programme and the terms regarding its highly enriched uranium.
