Victim Hindu youth given sheer khurma; forced to offer namaz !

Case of ‘corporate jihad’ at a Tata Consultancy Services establishment in Nashik

Nashik, Maharashtra – In a case related to alleged religious conversion at a TCS establishment here, the victim, a Hindu youth, stated that on the day of Eid he was given Sheer Khurma, which was suspected to contain a sedative. It has been alleged that this was part of a plan to convert him. The youth further claimed that even while he was not fully conscious, a cap was placed on his head and he was forced to offer namaz. Authorities are currently investigating whether the substance in the sheer khurma was a sedative or a narcotic.

Photographs of the victim offering namaz were reportedly circulated in an office group, allegedly with the intent to mentally harass and intimidate him. The suspects also allegedly frightened him by claiming that he was under ‘black magic’, creating fear by suggesting that he was in danger, and attempting to coerce him into conversion. Two four-wheelers used in the alleged crime have been seized. It has also emerged that one of the suspects, Danish Shaikh, had secured employment at the establishment in 2017 based on the recommendation of a senior official.

Shocking conversations found on suspect’s mobile phone

The mobile phone of the suspect, Danish Shaikh, was unlocked at a forensic laboratory using facial recognition. Investigators reportedly found several disturbing conversations, financial transactions, overseas monetary dealings, and messages related to sending a victimised young woman to Malaysia.
