Iranian MP issues warning to Gulf leaders

Iranian MP Mahmoud Nabavian

Tehran, Iran – An Iranian Member of Parliament, Mahmoud Nabavian, has issued a strong warning to the rulers of Gulf countries, stating that any attack on Iran’s leadership would provoke severe retaliation.

He said, “if Iran’s leaders or supreme leadership were targeted, those in Gulf states who support such actions would face direct consequences, including attacks on their leadership and palaces.”

Nabavian, who is also part of Iran’s nuclear negotiation team, indicated that Iran would not limit its response to the country initiating an attack but would also target regional leaders if they are seen as supporting it. He further cautioned Gulf nations against allowing their territories to be used by US or foreign military forces for operations against Iran.

He added that any country permitting such use of its bases would be regarded as complicit, and its leadership would not remain secure in the event of a conflict.
