No increase in the price of domestic cylinders, petrol and diesel

New Delhi – The blockade on the Strait of Hormuz has led to a huge increase in the international price of crude oil. Its price per barrel in the international market has reached $125 (approximately Rs 12,000), which is the biggest price increase since 2022. This has had a direct impact on the price of commercial cylinders in India. The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has increased by a whopping Rs 993. This price increase has been implemented across the country from May 1st. In the capital Delhi, a commercial cylinder will now be available for Rs 3,071. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic cylinders, petrol and diesel.
Price of 5 kg cylinder also increased
In addition, the price of a 5 kg ‘Free Trade LPG’ cylinder has also increased by Rs 261. This cylinder is mainly used by small companies and for limited commercial use. No subsidy is given on cylinders in this category.
According to a statement issued by Indian Oil Corporation, there has been no change in the prices of major fuels that directly affect the common man.
