Corporate Jihad protest held at Hinjawadi (Pune) against Nashik case

Demand to expose nationwide network of ‘love jihad’, ‘religious terror’ and ‘conversion racket’

Pune – A Hindu Rashtra awareness protest was held on 17 April at 5:30 p.m. at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Hinjawadi Phase 1, under the aegis of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, demanding strict action against alleged incidents reported in a multinational establishment in Nashik. These incidents include sexual exploitation of Hindu women employees, pressure for religious conversion, forced consumption of beef, and facilitation of namaz. The protestors demanded that the alleged extremist mindset and organised criminal network behind these acts be dismantled, and that a detailed investigation be conducted to expose any nationwide links related to ‘love jihad’, ‘religious terror’ and ‘conversion racket’.

A large number of devout Hindus participated in the protest. Signatures were collected from citizens on memorandums, which will be submitted to the Chief Minister, District Collector and police administration, informed Parag Gokhale of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Dignitaries present

Prominent attendees included Parag Gokhale from Hindu Janajagruti Samiti; advocate Siddhesh Paranjape from the Rashtrabhakt Advocate Association; Dayanand Bandgar and Balasaheb Khanekar from Swatantryaveer Savarkar Yuva Vichar Manch; former BJP corporator Swapnali Saykar from Baner; Vishwas Kalamkar from Hindu Yuva Prabodhini; and Nanda Kalamkar. They addressed the gathering. The organisation warned that if strict action is not taken immediately against the accused and those supporting them, a statewide agitation will be launched by Hindu organisations.

Placards raised during protest

Participants carried placards with slogans such as: “Corporate jihad in multinational companies in Nashik must be stopped”, “Investigate senior officials ignoring complaints of Hindu women”, “Seven accused found in Nashik – how many more in other cities?”, “Conduct a nationwide probe into the ‘love jihad racket’”, and “Arrest those exploiting Hindu women through corporate jihad and those protecting them”.

Key demands of the protesters

1. Seven accused have been arrested in Nashik. If seven were found there, how many might be operating in other cities ? There are also discussions about similar incidents in a company in Pune; this must be investigated.

2. Companies where Hindu women’s dignity is not protected and where ‘religious terror’ is allegedly created should have their business licences revoked and be shut down. The government should order an immediate special security and anti-religious discrimination audit of all IT and multinational companies in the state.

3. A thorough investigation should be conducted into whether recruitment processes in such companies favour a particular community or ideology, and whether there is a deliberate strategy to target Hindu women.

Editorial Perspective

Why are such protests necessary ? Many multinational companies claim to follow equal respect for all religions; however, if Hindu employees are allegedly restricted from celebrating festivals while special concessions are granted for namaz, such differential treatment is seen by the protestors as the foundation of ‘Corporate Jihad’.
