Statement by BJP leader and actor Mithun Chakraborty

Kolkata (Bengal) – BJP leader and actor Mithun Chakraborty criticized the Trinamool Congress over the controversy surrounding the detailed revision of the voter list. He said, “As long as there is even a drop of blood left in my body, no one can turn Bengal into Bangladesh.”
Calling infiltration a major issue, Mithun Chakraborty stated that it is affecting the employment and rights of local people, especially within the Muslim community.
“There is so much filth in Bengal that it needs to be cleaned with a broom!”
He further said that the BJP is not against Muslims, but against those who live in India and seek to harm the country. He also claimed that names of many BJP members have been removed from the voter list. He added that ₹5,713 crore has been allocated to madrasas. According to him, the situation in Bengal has deteriorated to the extent that it needs to be “cleaned with a broom.”
