During Ramadan, a video of the Maulana was widely circulated on social media. While criticising the anti-cow slaughter law in Uttar Pradesh, he made a controversial statement referring to the Chief Minister’s mother. Following the circulation of the video, members of several organisations demanded strict action against him. More than 120 complaints have been registered against the Maulana in Uttar Pradesh in this matter. The police are continuing further investigation.

Editorial Perspective

“Maulana” means a scholar of Islam. If such a so-called scholar himself uses degrading language, then how might ordinary religious fanatic Muslims be thinking about Hindus – better not even to imagine ! Such individuals must be given strict punishment !
