
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – On 8th March 2026, the Upkar Welfare Association, Bengaluru, enthusiastically celebrated International Women’s Day in the Ullal suburb. On this occasion, Mrs Bhavya Gowda (Bengaluru District Coordinator of the Ranrangini Wing of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti), Smt. Nandini Shivakumar (Founder of ‘Darpan Wellness’), along with more than 100 other women, were honoured.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Bhavya Gowda said, “Keeping the ideals of Rajmata Jijau before us, mothers should raise their children to become patriots”.
The programme featured various presentations that highlighted the important role of women in society. It also included an introduction to Indian culture, arts, and traditions. Many women actively serving in diverse fields such as social service, medicine, and others were present for the programme.
