
Indapur (Pune district) – A silver Swayambhu Idol, a silver horse, the gold mangalsutra from the neck of Jogeshwari Devi, cash, and one-and-a-half kilograms of silver padukas from the Balumama temple have been stolen from the Shrinath Mhaskoba temple located in the Shingadevasti area of Malwadi No. 2 in the Ujani dam catchment region. The temple priest, Anna Shingade, has filed a complaint against unknown thieves at the Indapur Police Station.
1. The priest, Anna Shingade, resides next to the Shrinath Mhaskoba temple. On 14 March, when he came to the temple early in the morning as usual, he noticed that the latch and bolt of the temple door had been broken.
2. He then realised that several items from the temple had been stolen. He informed the residents of the settlement about the incident and also attempted to search for the stolen items around the temple premises.
3. After confirming that the silver items from the temple had indeed been stolen, he lodged a complaint at the Indapur Police Station.
