Prime Minister Modi’s rally in Kolkata triggers clash between BJP and Trinamool Congress workers; several injured

Kolkata (Bengal) – A dispute broke out between workers of the BJP and the Trinamool Congress here before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally. It later turned into a scuffle and stone pelting. Workers from both parties were reportedly injured in the incident. Additional police deployment has been made in the area to bring the situation under control.

The Trinamool Congress has alleged that BJP workers pelted stones at the office of Bengal minister Dr Shashi Panja in the Girish Park area. Several Trinamool workers were injured in the incident.

On the other hand, rejecting the allegations, the BJP has claimed that Trinamool workers pelted stones at BJP vehicles that were heading to attend Prime Minister Modi’s rally.
