Following the controversy, the ‘X’ account of Sunrisers Leeds was suddenly deactivated. The team owners have not yet issued an official response. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Leeds head coach Daniel Vettori has clarified the matter. He said that during the auction for ‘The Hundred’, the team was unable to buy Adil Rashid (an Afghanistan player); therefore, Abrar Ahmed was purchased instead.
