Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka) – From 11 March, a change has been made in the morning snack served in the dining hall of the Kukke Subramanya Temple, one of the wealthy temples in the state. In view of the shortage of gas cylinders, poha and curd are being distributed instead of cooked food.
The temple administration has written to the gas-supplying agency requesting the supply of 20 cylinders per day. If the supply of cylinders does not become smooth, a change in the afternoon Mahaprasad is also being considered. The temple administration will soon issue official information regarding these changes.
Editorial PerspectiveThe Union Government, while giving priority to supplying LPG cylinders to households and vehicles, should also give priority to annachatras, temples, ashrams and dharamshalas! |
