Surguja (Chhattisgarh): Unlawful possession of 50 acres of Hindu land by Muslims !

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – An incident has come to light in Surguja district of the State where religious fanatic Muslims have allegedly taken unlawful control of land belonging to the tribal Hindu community ‘Pando’. The incident has occurred in the Rajakatel settlement of Manja Gram Panchayat in Lakhanpur taluka. The Pando community has alleged that nearly 50 acres of their ancestral land have been illegally occupied by radical Muslims.

1. According to the villagers, they have been living on this land for several generations. However, in the past few years, a large number of Muslims have come and settled there and gradually begun claiming ownership of the land. It has been alleged that some Muslims fraudulently obtained thumb impressions from members of the Pando community on documents and registered the land in their own names.

2. Gradually, these Muslims also began calling their relatives to settle there. As a result, around 80 to 90 Muslim families are now residing in the area. The Pando community has alleged that whenever they attempt to reclaim their land or challenge this control, they are threatened with death.

3. Hindu villagers have accused Jamil Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed, Salim, Gulbahar Ahmed, Naseem, Khurshid, Kabir, Aslam, Mohammed Jamil, Babar and Mohtab, among others, of land grabbing and harassment. In this regard, they have submitted an application to the Superintendent of Police demanding that a case be registered. (Why do Hindus who own the land have to make such a demand ? 4. Following instructions from the Chief Minister’s Office, a case has been registered in the court of the Udaipur Sub-Divisional Officer under Section 170-B of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, and notices have been issued to the Muslims who have allegedly taken illegal control of the land.

Editorial Perspective

Eighty years ago, Muslims brought about the partition of India and took a separate Pakistan. They inflicted a wound on the chest of Hindu Bharat. Today, many ‘mini Pakistans’ have come into existence within India itself. Hindus must realise that unless the Hindu society becomes vigilant and awakened, stopping this will be nearly impossible.
