Donald Trump extends support to Pakistan !

Pakistan–Afghanistan war

Washington DC (United States) – Since the outbreak of war between Afghanistan and Pakistan, both nations have been claiming to have killed each other’s soldiers. Pakistan has claimed that in its airstrikes on Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, more than 270 Afghan soldiers were killed, while Afghanistan has claimed that 70 Pakistani soldiers were killed in its attacks. Against this backdrop, instead of calling for an immediate ceasefire, US President Donald Trump has extended support to Pakistan for action against the Taliban.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Army Chief share good relations with me – Trump

At a press conference, a Pakistani journalist questioned Trump regarding the war between Pakistan and Afghanistan. In response, he stated, “I can mediate in this matter; but as you know, I have good relations with Pakistan. There is an excellent Prime Minister there. Their Army Chief is also good. I respect both of them. Pakistan is doing good work. Pakistan has the right to defend itself against Taliban attacks,” Trump said.

‘Pakistan has the right to defend itself against Taliban attacks !’ – United States

US Secretary Allison Hooker held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and clarified that the United States stands in support of Pakistan. She stated that the situation is being closely monitored and that the United States supports Pakistan’s right to defend itself against Taliban attacks.

Advisories are to be issued for American citizens residing in Afghanistan and Pakistan. US nationals living in these two countries have been advised to remain vigilant.

Editorial Perspectives

  • This exposes Trump’s duplicity ! His support makes it evident that the very Trump who seeks the Nobel Prize for allegedly stopping eight wars and establishing peace across the world is, in fact, backing warmongers and terrorists !
  • Has the United States similarly pressured India to halt a war in order to rescue a defeated Pakistan during an India–Pakistan conflict ? This question now raises serious doubts !
