Karnataka : Christian father and son beat up a minor Hindu boy

  • Anger over talking to a girl

  • Abused based on caste

Mangaluru (Karnataka) – Police recently arrested Steven Monteiro and his son Avila in connection with the beating of a minor Hindu boy for talking to a girl. The incident occurred in Babugudde, under the jurisdiction of Mangaluru South Police Station. The father of the victim filed a complaint with the police.

According to the complaint, on 23 February around 4 pm, after school, a ninth-grade boy was chatting with a tenth-grade girl near the railway tracks in Babugudde. Steven Monteiro and his son Avila arrived there and accused them of public displays of affection, threatening both. They also recorded a video of the two and threatened to post it on social media. While attacking the Hindu boy, they verbally abused him based on his caste. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.

Editorial Perspectives

  • It is futile to expect the minority-loving Congress Government in Karnataka to provide justice to the aggrieved Hindus.
  • Hindus should note that the same progressives who pressured the police to act against devout Hindu Pramod Muthalik for objecting to misdeeds in a Mangaluru pub, now remain completely silent over a Christian father and son physically assaulting a Hindu boy.
