New ‘RailOne’ App to be launched for railway reservations from 1 March

New Delhi — Indian Railways has announced that from 1 March 2026, its existing ‘UTS’ (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app will be discontinued and replaced by a new app named ‘RailOne’. The UTS app has so far been extensively used for obtaining unreserved (general) tickets, platform tickets, and season passbooks. With the introduction of ‘RailOne’, all online ticketing services and several railway-related facilities will now be brought under a single digital platform.

Key features of the ‘RailOne’ app

1.  Comprehensive, all-in-one service platform — The app integrates multiple facilities such as booking unreserved (general) and reserved tickets, purchasing platform tickets, checking real-time train running status, verifying PNR status (to know whether tickets are waiting or confirmed), accessing coach details, and ordering food. With these services available in one place, passengers will be spared the inconvenience of navigating multiple applications.

2.  Easy login using existing credentials — Passengers can sign in to the ‘RailOne’ app using their current UTS or IRCTC login details, ensuring a smooth transition without the need to create new accounts.

3.  Digital payment incentive — Commuters purchasing unreserved tickets through digital payment on the ‘RailOne’ app will receive a discount of up to 3% until July 2026, to encourage cashless transactions.

The UTS app will remain operational only until 28 February. From 1 March onwards, passengers will be required to use the ‘RailOne’ app for ticketing services. The railway administration has appealed to commuters to download and familiarise themselves with the new app in advance to avoid inconvenience during travel.
