Sanatan Sanstha is at the forefront in exposing the mistakes of radical Islamists in the country: Uday Mahurkar

New Delhi – Uday Mahurkar, President of the ‘Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation’ and former Central Information Commissioner, has posted a strong rebuttal on X over Congress party’s allegations on Sanatan Sanstha regarding the recently held Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav in Delhi. His post read, ‘Cong, which today resembles Jinnah’s Muslim League, has attacked PM @narendramodi on the Modi Govt funding the recent Sanatan Rashtra Shanknad Mahotsav of @SanatanSanstha in Delhi saying, ‘PM & his Govt were promoting communal organisations like the Sanstha’.

The truth is that Sanatan Sanstha might be harsh on Muslim community, but it is a most patriotic organisation that has done the most to expose the wrong doings of radical Islamists & Communists & is helping in the task of securing the nation against the activities of anti-national elements (sic)’. Mahurkar strongly criticised what he termed the anti-national stance of Congress.

Writing further on X, Mahurkar questioned what kind of secularism Congress speaks of and said it must answer the following questions:

1. Why did it continue to overtly or covertly support hate preacher Zakir Naik till the Modi Govt came to power & took action against him ?

2. Why Rahul Gandhi & Priyanka Gandhi have been taking the support of the most radical Muslim movements to win elections from Wayanad ? Mahurkar shared a link to a news report listing organisations that supported Rahul Gandhi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad.

3. What has Cong leadership got to say about Umar Khalid’s father & All India Muslim Personal Law Board ( AIMPLB) spokesperson SQR Iliyas, who has openly justified anti-national slogans by radical Islamists & talked about converting entire Bharat to Islam. (Mahurkar also shared a link to a 2003 interview in which Ilyas reportedly supported the slogan “Destroy nationalism, establish Khilafat.”)

4. Coming back to PM Modi he has tried his level best to do justice to Muslim community.  There is no hindrance to Muslims making it to UPSC. He has brought a sea change in Kashmir Valley where Kashmiri Muslims are entering the mainstream in a big way & tasting the fruits of developments.

5. In fact if there is one body which is doing greatest damage to Muslim community by creating a false sense of insecurity it is the Cong (Congress), Mahurkar asserted.
