Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assures action against anti-social elements !

Bagalkote (Karnataka) – On 19th February, during the Shiv Jayanti celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, stones were allegedly pelted from a mosque at a procession taken out in the city. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has strongly condemned the incident. Through a post on X, he appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony. “I have instructed police officials to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and to take strict legal action against the antisocial elements involved,” the Chief Minister stated.

Hindutva-oriented organisations have also expressed strong anger over the stone-pelting on the Shiv Jayanti procession and have demanded stringent action against the culprits. (If Hindus demonstrate organised unity, religious fanatics will not dare to carry out such attacks. Hindu unity has therefore become the need of the hour – Editor) Bagalkote District Superintendent of Police Siddharth Goyal informed that, so far, 8 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Stone-pelting on a Shiv Jayanti procession is an anti-national act – Pramod Muthalik
Bengaluru – Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik has expressed sharp outrage over the stone-pelting from a mosque on the Shiv Jayanti procession in the Killa Oni area of Bagalkot. “Pelting stones at a Shiv Jayanti procession is an anti-national act,” Muthalik said. Police officers were injured in the incident. Muthalik has demanded that those responsible for attacking the procession be punished with the strictest action under the law.
Editorial PerspectiveEven though the Chief Minister may be making such statements, since Karnataka is ruled by the Congress – that is, by the ideological descendants of the Mughals – the possibility of action being taken against those who attacked the Shiv Jayanti procession there appears remote. The Chief Minister is making such hollow assurances merely to pacify the outraged Hindus. |
