Austin (USA) – In 2024, a grand 90-foot-tall statue of Shri Hanuman was installed within a temple complex in the state of Texas, USA. Following this, a Republican Party worker named Carlos Turcios from the Dallas–Fort Worth area posted a video of the statue on X and expressed his objection. He stated that the statue represents an attempt by Indians to gain control over American land. His remarks have angered Hindus in the United States. Members of the Indian community clarified that the statue was erected by Hindus on privately owned land and that such comments are inappropriate.
