
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) — A Muslim youth was found moving suspiciously near the famous Jyotirlinga Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and the Mangalnath Temple area disguised as a Hindu, wearing saffron clothes, a tulsi mala, and a tilak. He was apprehended by Bajrang Dal activists. During questioning, some activists allegedly thrashed him before handing him over to the Police. Incident details-
1. Bajrang Dal’s district convenor, Rishabh Kushwah, said that information was received about a youth trying to obtain a hotel room using a girl’s identity instead of his own. Acting on the tip-off, activists reached Nanakheda and located the youth. His attire aroused suspicion, as he was allegedly attempting to conceal his Muslim identity by dressing in saffron and wearing a tulsi mala around his neck and a tilak on his forehead.
2. When questioned, he initially gave a Hindu name; however, documents found with him revealed his name as Jafar. It is reported that he had brought a girl from Delhi to Ujjain and used her documents while booking the hotel room.
3. During detailed questioning, he stated that he had spent the day with the girl roaming in the Mangalnath and Mahakal temple areas on Mahashivaratri and had gone to the hotel in the evening.
4. Some activists allegedly beat Jafar and immediately took him to the Police station, where he was handed over to the authorities.
