Love Jihad case surfaces in Mangaluru

Mangaluru (Karnataka) – A fresh case of ‘Love Jihad’ has created a stir in Mangaluru of Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. A Hindu girl from Kasaragod, Kerala, has been abducted by a Muslim youth from Surathkal in Mangaluru. The girl’s parents have lodged a complaint with the Police. “We want our daughter back,” the distressed parents cried out at the Police station.
The victim, a Hindu girl pursuing a course in criminology at Mukka in Mangaluru, was lured and taken away by one Mahammad Midlaj, who works at a jewellery shop in Surathkal. According to reports, both of them are currently in Wayanad, Kerala.
The girl’s father Vishwanath and mother Lata have appealed to their daughter to return home.
