Anti-national statement reflecting the fanaticism of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind

New Delhi – Muslims do not prevent anyone from singing or playing ‘Vande Mataram’; however, certain verses in the song portray the motherland as a goddess. This, they claim, is against their faith. A Muslim worships only one Allah. Therefore, compelling him to sing this song is a clear violation of Article 25 of the Constitution and several judgments of the Supreme Court, stated Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, in a post on ‘X’.
The Union Government has made it mandatory to accord the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ the same respect as the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. According to the order, all six stanzas of the national song, with a total duration of 3 minutes and 10 seconds, will be sung. Until now, only the first two stanzas of the original song have been sung.

“Muslims only worship Allah, so they won’t say Vande Mataram.” – Maulana Arshad Madani’s remarks reflect an uncompromising ideological rigidity that raises serious concerns about Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’s commitment to national… https://t.co/wDHB6FoIbu pic.twitter.com/dYJ3827GJD

Points raised by Madani
1. Making the song mandatory and attempting to impose it on citizens is not a display of patriotism, but election politics, a religious agenda, and an attempt to divert attention from fundamental issues.
2. The true measure of love for the nation lies not in slogans, but in character and sacrifice. (How much Muslims sacrifice for the nation and how many anti-national acts they commit is well known to Indians – Editor.) Excellent examples of this can be seen in the historical struggles of Muslims and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. (Hindus are aware that what Muslims describe as ‘historical struggles’ were not for India, but to maintain Mughal, that is, Muslim rule over this country – Editor.)
3. Such decisions weaken the nation’s peace, unity and democratic values, and undermine the spirit of the Constitution. Making ‘Vande Mataram’ mandatory is a direct attack on the Constitution, religious freedom and democratic principles. (The song has been made mandatory through a democratic process and in accordance with constitutional provisions; however, Muslims repeatedly invoke the Constitution and democracy to oppose such measures dishonestly – Editor.)
