The people of Bangladesh should boycott the elections !

An appeal from Sajeeb, the son of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has appealed to the public to boycott the elections. Sajeeb stated that the general elections scheduled for February 12 in Bangladesh are openly biased. Therefore, citizens should stay away from these elections and not cast their votes. Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League party has not been allowed to contest in this election. This decision has sparked strong anger among Awami League leaders.

1. Speaking via video call at an event, Sajeeb said that terrorists are effectively ruling Bangladesh. Innocent citizens are being continuously murdered in the country. Awami League workers and leaders are being subjected to inhumane torture.

2. Sajeeb stated that not only has the Awami League been prevented from contesting the elections in Bangladesh, but all progressive parties have also been banned. Therefore, this election will be nothing but a farce.

3. It has already been decided that the BNP will get 150 seats and Jamaat-e-Islami will get 130 seats in this election. The results are already predetermined.
