Vedbhushan’ and ‘Vedvibhushan’ Certificates Recognised as Valid for Technical Education

  • Approval Granted by the All India Council for Technical Education

  • Modi Government’s Effort to Bring Vedic Education into the Mainstream

Pune — A decision has been taken to grant equivalence to Vedic education with Class 10 and Class 12 qualifications. Accordingly, the ‘Vedbhushan’ certificate issued by the Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Sanskrit Shiksha Mandal will be treated as equivalent to Class 10, while the ‘Vedvibhushan’ certificate will be considered equivalent to Class 12.

Students holding these certificates will be eligible to seek admission to technical education courses in institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The Union Ministry of Education has granted this board the status of an “official education board.” Certificates issued by the board will carry the same validity as Class 10 and Class 12 certificates issued by central and state education boards across the country. On the basis of these certificates, students will be eligible for admission to higher education institutions (including medical and technical education), other degree programmes, and will also be able to apply for central and state government jobs.

The Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratisthan has established an independent school education board under the name ‘Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Sanskrit Shiksha Mandal’. To bring Vedic education into the mainstream and integrate Vedic studies with modern education, the Union government has allocated ₹100 crore for this initiative. These certificates have been formally recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, making them valid for education purposes across the country.
