Kedarnath (Uttarakhand) – The entry of non-Hindus will be prohibited at Badarinath Dham, Kedarnath Dham and all temples coming under the aegis of Temple Committee. An official resolution to this effect will be passed in the upcoming board meeting of the temple committee, informed President of Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee and senior BJP leader Hemant Dwivedi. He also praised the action of removing the illegal tombs of Muslims under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dham.
Dwivedi said that, protecting religious and cultural traditions of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is the highest priority. Traditionally, entry of non-Hindus in the series of temples established from Kedarkhand to Manaskhand has been prohibited; however, these traditions were trampled during non-BJP regimes. Hence, steps will be taken to ensure proper observation of traditions.
