Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction MP Sanjay Raut urges Union Government to act

Mumbai – Hindus are being regularly killed in Bangladesh. Recently, two Hindus were burnt alive there. For the past four to five months, the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh has become a regular occurrence. Temples are being demolished, Hindu homes are being attacked, and Hindus are being set on fire. Whether these killings can be stopped merely by sending messages of peace, or whether peace can be restored only through military action, as was done during the time of Indira Gandhi, must be seriously considered, urged Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction MP Sanjay Raut while appealing to the Union Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Raut said, “Our country is certainly peace-loving. We have never attacked anyone on our own. However, if hundreds of Hindus are being killed in Bangladesh, then messages of peace lose their meaning. This does not mean ‘wage war’, but the lives and property of Hindus in Bangladesh must be protected. Therefore, merely issuing peace appeals by the President and the Prime Minister is of no use. Even within India, there is unrest and instability across various sectors. Hence, when peace messages are delivered, the public will certainly reflect on who is responsible for the unrest within India. While conveying messages of peace to the world, it is essential for the President to also take note of the violence erupting in Bangladesh.”
