Summons Likely to Be Issued

Mumbai — A physical altercation broke out between two advocates within the premises of the Andheri court. Advocate Wahid Shaikh allegedly dragged his colleague, Advocate Abhishek Tripathi, into a court chamber and assaulted him with kicks and punches. Following the incident, people present nearby and court staff rushed to Tripathi’s aid.
Summons are likely to be issued to both advocates in connection with the incident, and judicial proceedings may follow. The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa has taken cognisance of the matter, and disciplinary action may be initiated against both advocates for their conduct.
