Mumbra Police’s notice to AIMIM corporate Sahar Sheikh

Case of provocative statements

 

Thane – Taking note of the provocative statements made by newly elected corporate Sahar Sheikh of ‘AIMIM’ (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen – Akhil Bharatiya Muslim Ekta Sangh) in Mumbra after her victory, the Mumbra Police issued a notice to her and her father, Yunus Sheikh, under Section 168 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023. Sahar Sheikh had stated that she wanted to cover entire Mumbra with green. Both of them have been ordered not to make any speeches that would generate enmity in society or make controversial statements on social media.

Sahar Sheikh is the daughter of Yunus Sheikh, a close aide of former Sharad Pawar faction MLA Jitendra Awhad, and has won in Awhad’s stronghold.

Thane district is saffron and Mumbra is in Thane – Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai, January 23 (News) – Thane district is saffron and Mumbra is in Thane, stated Shiv Sena’s chief leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He expressed this in response to journalists’ questions regarding the statement by Sahar Shaikh, newly elected councilor of Mumbra from ‘A.I.M.I.M.’, about ‘making Mumbra green.’

Regarding the support given by the MNS to Shiv Sena in the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, Eknath Shinde said, ‘In the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, MNS had supported the Maha Yuti (Grand Alliance). Even in the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, MNS has supported development.’ On the election of the Mayor of Mumbai, Eknath Shinde said, ‘In Mumbai, only the Maha Yuti’s candidate will become mayor.’

Please note this; while the police act with promptness in registering cases under ‘hate speech’ against devout Hindus for alleged provocative statements, they merely issue notices and let Muslim public representatives who openly make provocative statements go free !
