Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) – In an incident here, a thief stole ornaments from the idol of a goddess in a Mata temple. After committing the theft, he folded his hands and sought the goddess’s forgiveness twice. A CCTV video of this incident has surfaced and is currently going viral on social media.

The incident took place at the Big Mata Temple located on the Garoutha–Madhan road in the Garoutha area of Jhansi. The theft occurred on the night of January 10. Taking advantage of the darkness, the thief first broke the temple lock and then stole the valuable ornaments offered to the goddess.
When devotees arrived at the temple in the morning for regular prayers and saw the broken lock, it caused panic. The police have begun an investigation into the matter.
