Tehran (Iran) – Following US President Donald Trump’s threat of military action against Iran, the Islamic Republic has issued a strong and unequivocal response. Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, warned in clear terms that if the United States launches an attack on Iran, US military forces and Israel will be directly targeted in retaliation.

Ghalibaf issued this warning during a session of the Iranian Parliament, where several Members of Parliament were raising slogans against the United States. The statement comes amid reports that the US military has briefed President Trump on multiple options for a possible strike on Iran.

Simultaneously, Israel is reportedly preparing in anticipation of potential US military action against Iran. According to sources, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the possibility of US intervention in Iran during a recent telephonic conversation.
