Joy Mahapatro beaten by Muslims and forced to consume poison

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Yet another Hindu youth, Joy Mahapatro, has been brutally murdered in Bangladesh. Reports indicate that Joy was first assaulted, after which a local Muslim man named Amirul Islam allegedly forced poison down his throat, leading to his death.

According to data released by the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, at least 51 violent incidents targeting minorities were recorded in the month of December alone.

Why has the British government not questioned Bangladesh’s High Commissioner over atrocities against Hindus ? – MP Priti Patel

Senior British MP and Shadow Foreign Secretary Priti Patel has taken a strong stand on the issue. She has written to the UK Foreign Secretary, demanding immediate intervention in the ongoing violence and killings of Hindus in Bangladesh.

The situation in Bangladesh is very concerning. Religious freedoms should be protected and the murders of Hindus and persecution taking place are wrong and must stop.

Expressing deep concern on social media, Patel stated that “the protection of religious freedom must be ensured under all circumstances.” She pointed out that at least 6 Hindus have been brutally murdered in Bangladesh in just the last 18 days, calling it a disturbing escalation of violence.

Patel questioned the British government on what concrete steps it has taken over the past year to curb this violence and whether the Bangladesh High Commissioner has been formally questioned or asked to provide explanations regarding these atrocities.
