Muslim shoots Hindu dead in Pakistan

Hindus take to the streets in protest

Islamabad (Pakistan) – After Bangladesh, Hindus are now being murdered in Pakistan as well. In Badin district of Sindh province, Hindu farmer Kailash Kolhi (age 25) was shot dead. Influential local landlord Sarfaraz Nizami has been accused of the murder.

Following the incident, thousands of Hindus and local citizens came out on the streets and blocked major roads. Several rounds of discussions were held with the police. The protest was withdrawn only after the police assured that the landlord would be arrested within a week. Even so, anger and resentment within the Hindu community remain strong. ( To arrest a murderer of Hindus, Hindus themselves have to protest — does this not expose the pathetic condition of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh ? )

Sindh province has the highest Hindu population in Pakistan

The Badin District Bar Association condemned the murder of Kolhi. Criticising the police for failing to arrest the accused, lawyers of the association boycotted court proceedings.

Editorial Perspective

While Hindus are in such a condition in Islamic countries, India does nothing; yet when nothing happens to Muslims in India, an organisation of 57 Islamic nations threatens India — this is shameful !
