15 Christians individuals did ‘Gharwapsi’ at Mandla in Madhya Pradesh

(Gharwapsi means returning to the Hindu Dharma)

Mandla (Madhya Pradesh) – Recently in Surangdevari village with Mandla District 15 members of 3 families, who had converted to Christianity a few years ago, did a ‘Gharwapsi’. This event happened at the Sidheshwar Dham in Surangdevri village. The three families returned to Hindu fold after rituals of chanting of Mantras, havan and puja.

1. Acharya Lalit Mishra annually has a religious event at Sidheshwar Dham. Villagers and devotees attend the event in large numbers. At the end of the event a ritual process is organised for those who out of their own free will want to accept Hindu Dharma. In this year’s event 3 Christians families accepted Sanatan Dharma.

2. Acharya Lalit Mishra said, this work is being done to bring back to their original culture, those who left the fold because of coercion and poverty.

3. The members of the 3 families who accepted Sanatan Dharm said, few years ago we converted because of social and personal reasons; but with time they began to feel the call and the strong pull of their traditions and heritage culture, which made them want to return to their roots and faith.
