The infiltrators arrested in January 2023

Pune – 20 Bangladeshi citizens infiltrating and residing in India without any valid documents have been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for 2 years under the Passport Act, and also sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for 2 years, 4 months and 15 days under the Foreign Law Section along with a fine of Rs 1,000. The District Court and Additional Sessions Judge U.P. Kulkarni convicted all the accused in this case.
The accused entered India at night on the India-Bangladesh border without carrying any valid passports or documents, eluding the patrol team. After that, they lived in a building in Budhwar Peth in Pune. On 9 January 2024, Shabina, Ikhlas Mulla and 19 other infiltrators were arrested.
A case was registered against the arrested infiltrators at Faraskhana Police Station. A case was filed against them in the Court under the Passport Act and the Foreign Law Section.
