Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir must be merged with India !

Statement by British MP Bob Blackman

British MP Bob Blackman

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – The entire Jammu and Kashmir must remain an integral and inseparable part of India, stated British Member of Parliament Bob Blackman. He was speaking at a programme organised at the Constitutional Club here.

Advocated removal of Article 370 in 1992

Blackman said, “I had strongly advocated the removal of Article 370 as early as 1992. At that time, Kashmiri Hindus were being forced to abandon their homes solely because of their religion and identity. During that period, efforts were made in Britain to create public awareness against this grave injustice.”

Condemnation of terrorism and Pakistan

Blackman stated that he has consistently condemned terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. He also expressed strong displeasure over Pakistan’s illegal occupation of parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Reiterating his stand, he said that the entire Jammu and Kashmir should come under Indian administration.

Britain must stand firmly with India

Blackman had strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people were killed. Expressing grief over the death of innocent civilians, he urged the British government to stand resolutely with India in the fight against terrorism.

Pakistan termed a ‘failed State’

At an earlier programme, Blackman had described Pakistan as a failed State and raised serious questions over its military–political nexus. He also pointed out that Pakistan actively promotes terrorism against India. In this context, he emphasised the need for the international community to stand united with India.
