Stampede in AIMIM meeting; Police resort to lathicharge

MP Asaduddin Owaisi conveniently escapes after appealing to meet the people

Akola – Responding to the appeal of AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) leader and MP Asaduddin Owaisi at his meeting here, a crowd gathered near the stage after the meeting, making it difficult for the Police to control. The Police had to lathicharge, resulting in a stampedet. Owaisi, however, left the meeting venue safely in a four-wheeler. (If he did not want to meet, why did he appeal in the first place ? Will action be taken against MP Owaisi in this matter ? – Editor). The meeting was held in the backdrop of the upcoming municipal elections.
