IPL matches will not be telecast in Bangladesh

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team has replaced Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman as per the orders of Indian Cricket Control Board, leading to its repercussions in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Government’s advisor Asif Nazrul has demanded that the T-20 World Cup matches scheduled to be played in India, should now be played in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh will not tolerate insult of either cricket or its cricketers. Instructions are also issued to stop telecast of IPL matches in Bangladesh. India’s Bangladesh tour kept on hold
Agitations are staged in India against atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Demand to remove Bangladeshi cricketer from IPL came up out of these sentiments. Later, Rahman was removed from the KKR team. Bangladesh Cricket Board had declared the schedule of touring Indian team’s matches; but BCCI has kept this tour on hold.
Bangladesh cricket board sources informed that it has not been officially conveyed anything about the tour and replacement of Mustafizur Rahman from IPL. A decision will be taken on the future course of action after receiving an official communication from BCCI.
